Dear anti-racism activists,

We are a group of initiatives working on the topics of anti-racism and anti-discrimination in Mannheim. Our goal is to bring together the many anti-racist efforts in the city and to make them more visible.

The occasion is an eight-month project that we have named SAMIO, which stands for “Strengthening Anti-Racism in Mannheim’s Institutions and Organizations.” The aim of the project is to create lasting collaboration among stakeholders and to establish a joint platform in Mannheim to specifically address structural racism.

The first networking meeting will take place online on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

The focus of this meeting will be to develop a shared vision and discuss potential joint actions.

We are also planning a central stakeholder conference on Saturday, November 15, 2025, to develop a joint strategy for further steps—such as the creation of a round table to combat structural racism in Mannheim.

We highly value the many existing activities in the field of anti-racism and are aware that our efforts build on a long history of anti-racist work in Mannheim.
