Who are we ?

The Black Academy is an initiative of MeineWelt e.V. in collaboration with PLACE e.V. and the NGO PLACE for Africa with the aim of making the knowledge and skills of Afro-descendants visible. The aim of the Black Academy is to create a platform to further educate Afros, popularize their expertise, equip them and create links between Black people worldwide. But the academy is open to all.

Black Academy by black people and for everyone.

The observation is that Afro-descendants have difficulty enjoying their social, cultural and political rights. Also in the media, the narrative on black people is negative, while every day many discoveries are made by them, which is why Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie speaks of a ” single history ” to change.

The project participates in the construction of a new discourse that values the knowledge of Afros in the field of science, art, culture, literature, etc. in 4 axis :

Axis 1 : Empowerment. Empowering black people, regaining self-confidence, developing themselves, etc.

Axis 2 : Make the knowledge and skills of black people visible to the world, their skills, knowledge, expertise, etc. (Writing context, knowledge in the economy, in culture, etc. / Experts must be black people, Create for example fairs, etc.)

Axis 3 : Decolonization of the Internet

Axis 4 : Politics. Lobbying, Advocacy, etc. with the political-administrative authorities. Here, used the political instrument, the UN Decade as a lever for action.
