We are pleased to invite you to a civic and solidarity event that we are co-organizing with Mannheimer Mapathons e.V. and the Jüdische Gemeinde Mannheim:

MAPATHON – Enhancing Humanitarian Aid through Participatory Mapping

    –   When?: Monday, May 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM

Description:
Maps are often the starting point for humanitarian aid. But what happens when no map exists?
A Mapathon offers a simple and accessible solution: in just 2 hours, we will collaboratively map under-documented areas of the world using satellite imagery. The maps we create will be made freely available on OpenStreetMap – an essential tool for NGOs on the ground.
No technical knowledge is needed. All you need is a laptop and a computer mouse to take part.

Additionally, participants will be offered a guided tour of the community center and synagogue.
Join us for an evening of learning, intercultural exchange, and meaningful action for global solidarity.
