What is it about?
Building on the NSP* Symposium in November 2018, the aim is to provide a current overview of the (institutional) developments of Black Studies within an interdisciplinary, transnational network of researchers, experts, and activists. Additionally, based on past collective efforts around the research project « Black Studies in Germany, » political demands will be formulated, and research goals will be refined.
*NSP stands for « Network of Black Perspectives in Teaching and Research. »

The day before, the Black Study and Scholarship Fair, BLACKADEMIA, will also take place at TU Berlin.

For whom?
The BLACKADEMIA Symposium is aimed at scholars, researchers, activists, students, and interested parties in the academic community who are engaged with the implementation of Black Studies and related topics.

Registration and Program:
The detailed program will be available upon registration. Registration is free and can be done via Eventbrite. An awareness team will be present on-site.
