“Likôda: Encounters with black personalities that inspire us on a daily basis”.

In the framework of the Initiative Black Academy, Meinewelt e.V. and PLACE e.V. in cooperation with Dangarad e.V., BURKINA Aktiv e.V., Eine Welt Forum Mannheim e.V., start  the implementation of the Project Likôda, which is funded by the city of Mannheim in the period of 01.02.2023 until 31.12.2023. The project aims to create illustrated booklets to enhance the visibility of diversity in the Black Community and acknowledge their contribution to the history of the city of Mannheim. The history of three black personalities from Mannheim and beyond will be presented in the booklets.

In this way the project supports mutual learning about diversity and puts the cooperation from the perspective of Black People in the foreground.
