Ifa and Bimbia workshop

In order to address the colonial context of some of the royal treasures from Africa currently housed at the Reiss-Engelhorn Museums in Mannheim (REM), the latter are organizing a workshop on the theme Ifa and Bimbia: Meanings of deported African objects, in collaboration with the Black Academy initiative and the Goethe-Institut in Mannheim (Germany). The event will be held in person at REM Museum der Weltkulturen, D5, 68159 Mannheim and on zoom on June 23, 2023 from 5:30pm German time and 4:30pm Benin time.
