Sima Luipert is a practitioner of regional and rural development management and a campaigner for human rights and social justice. She has extensive experience in rural planning, governance, project management and community development. Sima Luipert is currently Director of Development Planning for the Hardap Regional Council and Vice-Chair of the Nama Genocide Technical Committee (NTLA). She is also Chair of the Board of the Riruako Centre for Genocide and Memory Studies.
