Closing ceremony of the Creative Contest 2022: Life before colonialism

In August 2022, we launched our Creative Contest on the theme: Life before colonialism, which aimed to learn and share the diversity of pre-colonial societies. The competition gathered the views of over 40 participants on life before colonialism in text, video, audio and design art formats.

With the support of 14 jury members from different countries and working in different fields (education, journalism, art, etc.) we were able to select the winners, which we will present to you on 26 November 2022.

Therefore, MeineWelt e.V. and PLACE for Africa in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Mannheim Centre for International Cultural Education and with the support of the City of Mannheim are pleased to invite you to the closing ceremony of the 2022 Creativity Contest on Saturday, 26 November 2022 from 09:00 – 16:00 GMT+1 online via zoom.

During this ceremony the winners of the competition will be presented to the public together with their works.

But that’s not all!

For this activity, which will be one of the last of the Black Academy project for this year 2022, we have planned a virtual fair to discover organisations from Africa and the Diaspora, challenges (Live-Facebook and Live Debate) which will be crowned with prizes such as language training offers, internet packages, training on flyer making and video editing etc.
