MeineWelt and PLACE for Africa are pleased to invite you to the official launch of the Black Academy on Friday, 15 July 2022 from 16:00 to 19:00 (German time) in the garden hall of Mannheim Castle or online (at Zoom Meeting). The event will be held in German, English, French and sign language with respective translation.

The Black Academy project in cooperation with the City of Mannheim, the Goethe-Institut Mannheim International Centre for Cultural Education and other partners, aims to make the knowledge of people of Black descent visible and to deconstruct prejudices about Afro Descendants.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy the perspectives and contributions of patron Aissatou Diallo (activist and former teacher), Claus Preißler (Commissioner for Integration and Migration of the City of Mannheim) as well as some artistics performances, interactive sequences and a social gathering with snacks and refreshments.
