SAVE THE DATE: Djouhoul_ discovering the hidden heroes, African doctors on a mission for health_ Hybrid conference in Mannheim & Zoom Meeting

Due to discussions of the brain drain of African physicians, especially to EU and US countries, and the conception of African societies as passive and waiting for help from the West, the contribution of African physicians to solving the health crises and daily problems facing the continent is not perceived. This was evident in the media coverage of the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone, Guinea-Conakry and Liberia, as well as the onset of the Corona pandemic.

This hybrid lecture aims to give the floor to one of these African physicians who has had the opportunity to visit several African countries during his training and professional career. He will speak about his experiences as a physician during the Ebola and Corona pandemics and provide insight into the work of African physicians beyond the borders of their national states.
