Black people in addition to being oppressed have their histories distorted and misrepresented by a dominant Eurocentric understanding. The treatment of Black oppression history related to colonialism and racism today calls for a diversification of forms of self-determined narratives that focus on Black perspectives. In this sense, this workshop addresses the historical aspects that support colonial continuity and an increase in racism today, particularly against Black people. The means of action to fight effectively against this form of racism are put forward.
